This programme is designed for volunteers with interest to work in Education sector in Ghana. Courses range from KINDERGARTEN to SENIOR HIGH.
The programme is designed to give you a hands-on experience in this field.

This programme is for Volunteers with interest in the Health setor. The mode of posting depends on three main areas.
1. Advoacy
2. Field Work
Each field covers the same area of health issues. Advocacy has to do with campaigning, promoting and sensitising people in any chosen area of health, whereas FIELD WORK deals with doing the real job in a hospital, health center, or a clinic.

The Humanitarian volunteer programme broad and covers different areas. Volunteers will involve in Humanitarian campaigs in various areas of interest. Currently there are many organisation (International and Local) in Ghana who are doing different types of humanitarian work. Some of the sub-sectors are: Child Labour, Girl child Education, Domestic Violence, Correctional Centers, Drug trade/Abuse, Poverty alleviation etc.

SPORTS: Volunteers will work in this sector for various educational sector in their sports department. Some of the areas are, Football (Soccer) Basketball, Track & Fields, Physical Education
ENTERTAINMENT: Volunteers will get to learn about Ghanaian Cultural, Heritage, Drumming and Dancing and folklore music.

Volunteers will get the opportunity to experience Ghanaian Culture first-hand. Activities are: Drumming and Dancing, Cultural Studies, African Studies, Fashion and Lifestyle.

All visitors to Ghana are required to have a visa unless you are a citizen of a West African country which belongs to ECOWAS. You must have a return ticket to Ghana before applying for a visa. Basic tourist visas are valid for 3 months from date of issue so don't get it too early or it may expire before you arrive. A single entry tourist visa costs $50. Student visa applications must be submitted together with a letter of invitation from the principals in Ghana and or in the student's home country.
Ghana also requires all visitors to have a valid certificate of immunization against yellow fever.

Malaria
There's a risk of catching malaria pretty much everywhere you travel in Ghana. Ghana is home to the chloroquine-resistant strain of malaria as well as several others. Make sure your doctor or travel clinic knows you are traveling to Ghana (don't just say Africa) so s/he can prescribe the right anti-malarial medication. Tips on how to avoid malaria will also help.
